Why would I name my site Scuba Mage? A mage is a person who knows a great deal about a subject. While I am not a mage yet with scuba I hope to learn enough to one day have others say that I am. I began scuba diving at 48 years of age, a bit late to seek mage-dom but it should be doable.

I am trying to get as broad an exposure to the various aspects of scuba as I can. I have dove freshwater, saltwater, lakes, quarries and springs. In the last two years I have dove over 100 times, about a 50/50 mix of salt and fresh water. I have done wreck dives, deep dives, night dives and drift dives. I have used wet suits and dry suits, single tanks and double tanks.

In my other writings (on the Scuba Writings page) I have tried to document my learnings in the realm of scuba I hope you will read them, and please, enjoy my dive logs and pictures as I document my dives.

Now go out and get wet!
